First came the rains. Seven days of rain...
...in the blending of moist air and an unnamed secret... ...the mushrooms began to grow.
This event had happened time and time again and again, across the ages, that in a single night,
when the world stood ready... ...the Fay should at last, escape their hybernation.
It was a new night, and as they woke, the shadow-folk fell into the old routine of their lives,
not as if eons had passed between this time and the past, but merely as the next evening.
In the early part of this new evening, King Chalkuran stood with both his prizes: The Foil of
the Firefly, which secured his right to rule - and and Ras Pator, his soon to be son-in-law which would insure the continuance
of his line. He and the young Lord Pator had much to gain from this contrived union for the king was bankrupt and Pator desired
power.
